Dr. Ahmad Aljafari

Biography

Ahmad Al Jafari is a Senior Clinical Teacher in Specialist Paediatric Dentistry at King’s College London. He contributes to teaching, research supervision, and clinical supervision for students in the Paediatric Dentistry DClinDent Programme, serving as module lead in the program and as a faculty personal tutor. Ahmad obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Jordan in 2008. After graduation, he worked briefly in private practice before joining the University of Jordan as a teaching assistant. His interest in teaching and research, particularly in the field of Paediatric Dentistry, led him to the United Kingdom. He completed his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS) and his MSc and PhD in Paediatric Dentistry at King’s College London. His postgraduate research focused on caries prevention approaches in children undergoing treatment under general anesthesia. Prior to his current role, Ahmad worked as a Consultant at Jordan University Hospital and as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Paediatric Dentistry at the University of Jordan for eight years, where he was involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical training, and research. He has also served as Assistant Dean for four years, supporting students during his tenure. His research interests include tooth wear, oral pathology, and facial reconstruction in oral surgery, driven by a desire to make a difference in patients' lives and bring benefits to society. Ahmad's work is particularly strong in prosthodontics and endodontics, contributing to the postgraduate programs.
