Biography

Dr. Ahmad Alshehabi is a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Southampton. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham, along with a postgraduate certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCAP). Ahmad is recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. His research interests include asset impairments, earnings management, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility in relation to organizational sustainability. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as the International Business Review and the Journal of International Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation. Ahmad has also served as an ad hoc reviewer for several academic journals. Before joining the University of Southampton, he taught at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China, Canterbury Christ Church University, and the University of Birmingham. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he actively engages in quality assurance processes relevant to module delivery and assessment at the university's partner institutions across various countries.
