Biography

Ahmad Jrade, Ph.D., P.Eng., M.ASCE, is an Associate Professor in Construction Engineering Management at the University of Ottawa, within the Department of Civil Engineering. He previously served as a program coordinator for the Construction Engineering program at Western Michigan University for five years and has held teaching positions at Concordia University. His research interests include life cycle cost analysis of conventional and sustainable construction projects, using renewable energy to forecast operational costs of buildings, integrating building information modeling with virtual reality, sustainable universal design, zero-energy buildings, and optimizing and analyzing costs and revenues in heavy civil construction operations.
