Biography

Ahmad Z. Naser earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Sharjah in the UAE. Before starting his Ph.D., he worked at NMDC Energy, the largest energy EPC company in the MENA region. In December 2023, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Guelph in Canada. Naser has been nominated for the Governor General's Gold Medal, a prestigious award for students in Canadian schools. In July 2024, he began his tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba. He is engaged in innovative research in smart sustainable additive manufacturing through his S²↔AM lab, focusing on AI-driven manufacturing and interdisciplinary collaborations.
