Biography

Ahmad Abdel-Mawgoud Saleh is a Professor at Université Laval specializing in biochemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2002, followed by a Master's in Microbiology in 2008. He completed his PhD in Biology at INRS - Institut Armand-Frappier in February 2015. His postdoctoral research was conducted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under Professor Gregory Stephanopoulos from February 2017 to January 2019, supported by a postdoctoral fellowship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. He has received several recognitions during his academic journey, including the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships. Ahmad has been actively teaching microbiology and biochemistry courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He is also involved in several research centers and leads a synthetic biology lab at UniLaval.
