Biography

Ahmadreza Faghih Imani is a Teaching Fellow at the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College London. He co-convenes the Urban Sustainable Environments (USE) option in the MSc in Environmental Technology. With over ten years of academic experience, he has published more than 30 articles in top-tier journals and has successfully collaborated with over 10 faculty members and 20 student researchers. His work significantly impacts the field through research aimed at industry and government projects, leading to the production of 9 technical reports. He is an active member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Bicycle Transportation and serves as a reviewer for academic journals. Prior to his current position, he held the prestigious Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto. Ahmadreza obtained his PhD from McGill University in 2017, with his dissertation recognized by the Benjamin H. Stevens Graduate Fellowship from the North American Regional Science Association (NARSC). His research is motivated by the challenges of rapidly growing urban populations and environmental concerns, focusing on the built environment and transport infrastructure, emerging technologies and data sources, and advanced modeling techniques to improve transport planning and policies for sustainable cities.
