Biography

Ahmed Doha is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. His academic focus intersects business model innovation, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence within social science domains. Currently on sabbatical, Dr. Doha's research emphasizes the applied fields of artificial intelligence and decision making, particularly concerning generative AI. He studies the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into personal and organizational AI applications, recommendation systems, e-commerce, and crowdsourcing, aiming to discern the influence of these technologies on small and medium enterprises. His methodology incorporates mixed methods and embedded design research approaches, allowing for comprehensive cycles from problem identification to implementation and evaluation. Dr. Doha's work has garnered funding from Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council as well as from industrial partners. He is also a past recipient of the NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship for his doctoral studies. His teaching portfolio includes courses on artificial intelligence in business, management of technology innovation, and an introduction to supply chain operations management.
