Biography

Ahmed Ghoneima is a Health Sciences Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he serves as the Director of the Orthodontics Postgraduate Program. He began his role at UCLA in July 2025, previously chairing the Department of Orthodontic and Pediatric Dentistry at Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He has also served as the director of the Orthodontics fellowship program and led the 3D Imaging Laboratory at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Ghoneima holds a B.D.S. from Al-Azhar University, a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Orthodontics from the same institution, and an M.S.D. from Indiana University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a fellow ad Hominem of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
