Biography

Ahmed Soliman specializes in green smart constructional materials with extensive experimental and analytical research expertise in the properties of fresh and hardened concrete. Dr. Soliman joined the Department of Building, Civil, and Environmental Engineering at Concordia University as an Associate Professor in 2016 after obtaining his Ph.D. from Western University in Canada in 2011. He has four years of experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on the innovation of new materials using industrial wastes. Additionally, he has pioneered self-restraining shrinkage materials, using waste materials as the main component to promote environmental sustainability. His professional activities include being a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Soliman aims to enhance the performance of construction materials through sustainable practices, emphasizing eco-friendly materials.
