Biography

Elison Lim is currently an Associate Professor at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University. She has previously served as an Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and was a Senior Lecturer (with tenure) at the University of Melbourne. Her research interests primarily focus on consumer behavior, specifically understanding the role of emotions and affective displays in consumer-marketer interactions, the impact of culture on consumption, and the influence of figurative language on advertising and branding perceptions. Her work has been published in several prestigious international journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Advertising, and Journal of Business Research. Elison is a recipient of the Divisional Research Excellence Award (2011) and has been recognized with teaching awards including the Nanyang Education Award (2017) and Divisional Teaching Excellence Awards in 2013 and 2016. She was also nominated for the Nanyang Education Award multiple times and received the Teacher of the Year Award in 2015 and 2016.
