Biography

Aikaterini is a DPhil Law candidate at Keble College, supervised by Professor John Vella. Her research focuses on taxpayers’ procedural rights and the accountability of decision-makers in the context of Exchange of Information (EOI), specifically examining Request Automatic EOI. Aikaterini combines a descriptive legal and policy perspective to analyze the level of protection guaranteed by existing law and to design an 'ideal' EOI process. This includes a comparative analysis of EOI practices across various legal fields. She holds an LLB and an LLM in EU Law from the University of Athens, where she graduated with distinction at the top of her class. Furthermore, Aikaterini holds a Magister Juris from the University of Oxford with distinction, for which she received the St Peter’s Distinction Award. Aikaterini teaches European Union Law and Constitutional Law at the college level and currently serves as a Non-Stipendiary Lecturer in European Law at Keble College, where she also co-convenes the EU Law Discussion Group. Prior to her DPhil studies, Aikaterini worked as a consultant for the OECD in the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes and trained as a lawyer in Athens.
