Dr. Aislinn Bohren

Biography

Aislinn Bohren is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research primarily focuses on microeconomic models and the dynamics of how individuals interact. She explores significant questions about learning models, misspecification, discrimination, information aggregation, and moral hazard through econometric approaches and randomized experiments. Her work also includes both theoretical and empirical aspects of discrimination, applying these concepts to various substantive areas such as designing rating systems, launching information campaigns, and creating incentive structures in online labor markets. Bohren holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a B.S. from the University of Richmond. In addition to her academic role, she is a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research, a member of the Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Global Working Group, and serves as an associate editor for several prominent journals including the American Economic Review and Theoretical Economics.
