Dr. Aitor Cruzado Garcia

Biography

Aitor Cruzado Garcia is a Research Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University in the Department of Aerospace Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Mondragon University in Spain in 2013. Aitor's research focuses on multiscale materials modeling, with key interests including computational homogenization of materials, crystal plasticity, fatigue fracture, and fretting wear modeling. He has made significant contributions to the understanding of material behaviors at different scales and under various loading conditions. Aitor previously completed his M.Sc. in Mechanical & Material Behavior in 2010 and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering in 2008, both from Mondragon University. Throughout his academic career, he has received various accolades, including the International Doctor distinction in 2013 and the Erasmus Fellowship from the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in 2007. His strong educational background and research expertise position him as a knowledgeable figure in the field of materials engineering.
