Biography

Akhlesh Lakhtakia is the Evan Pugh University Professor at The Pennsylvania State University in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics. His research encompasses a diverse range of topics in the fields of optics and materials science, particularly focusing on optoelectronics, photonics, and nanotechnology. He has made significant contributions to the understanding of sculptured thin films, metamaterials, and nanophotonics, along with studies on electromagnetics, composite materials, and the properties of chiral structures.
