Dr. Ala'a Al Habashna

Biography

Ala'a Al-Habashna is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University. His research interests encompass a variety of domains, including 5G wireless networks, multimedia communication, wireless networks, signal detection and classification, cognitive radio systems, and the Internet of Things. He is also involved in discrete-event modeling and simulation, as well as applications of machine learning in these areas. Al-Habashna's work emphasizes the integration of mathematical optimization techniques within wireless communications. Currently, he is focused on mentoring candidates for funded PhD positions that require a solid background in wireless communications and mathematical optimization.
