Biography

Alan Galey is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto with a cross-appointment in the Department of English. His research and teaching sit at the intersection of textual studies, the history of books and reading, and digital humanities. Galey's current research focuses on a bibliographical study of born-digital texts and artifacts, with his monograph 'Shakespearean Archive: New Media Experiments in Renaissance and Postmodernity' published in 2014 by Cambridge University Press. He is currently engaged in a project titled 'Bibliographic Methods for Born-Digital Texts: Paratext and Performance,' which is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada from 2018 to 2022.
