Biography

Alan M. Gillmor, an esteemed Professor Emeritus, has had a distinguished career in music education, primarily at Carleton University, where he joined the faculty in 1971. He received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts from the University of Michigan, followed by a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. He was known for his exceptional teaching, earning the Faculty of Arts Distinguished Teaching Award in 1982 and consistently receiving high evaluations from students.
