Biography

Dr. Alarab is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto and a member of the full-time medical staff at Mount Sinai Hospital. He graduated from the Medical School at Baghdad University and completed his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Ireland and the UK, obtaining memberships in both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Toronto. His research has been particularly focused on the etiology of pelvic organ prolapse in young women. His Master of Science thesis was dedicated to exploring this subject under the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Toronto. Through his clinical and academic work, Dr. Alarab contributes significantly to the field of Urogynecology, addressing critical issues related to women's pelvic health.
