Biography

Alba N. Dugarte earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Universidad de Los Andes in Venezuela in 2003. She completed her Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) specializing in Prosthodontics at the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2007. Following her education, Dr. Dugarte worked as part-time faculty in private practice until she moved to Florida, USA, to pursue a Prosthodontics Certificate at NOVA Southeastern University. In 2014, she relocated to Houston, Texas, where she worked in private practice with a focus on limited prosthodontics. Since January 2017, she has been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Dentistry at The University of Texas in Houston, teaching and conducting research in fixed prosthodontics and implant dentistry.
