Biography

Albert Hsiao is a Professor at the Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at UC San Diego. He is a cardiothoracic radiologist with a strong background in engineering and bioengineering, having completed his training at Caltech and UC San Diego Medical Scientist Training Program. He has also finished residency and fellowships in Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular Imaging at Stanford University. At UC San Diego, he leads the advanced cardiovascular imaging laboratory known as Augmented Imaging Data Analytics (AiDA) and serves as the co-director of the T32 clinician-scientist radiology research residency program and the MSTP SURF program. Previously, Hsiao was a radiology resident at Stanford, where he co-founded Arterys, a cloud-native software company focusing on bringing 4D Flow MRI and artificial intelligence technologies to the market. He is dedicated to partnering with industry to develop and introduce new imaging technologies that enhance the diagnosis and management of diseases.
