Biography

Alberto Galasso is a Professor of Strategic Management at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he holds the Anthony S. Fell Chair in New Technologies Commercialization. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). In addition to his academic roles, Professor Galasso serves as a co-editor for the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy and as an associate editor for the Journal of Industrial Economics and the International Journal of Industrial Organization. His research agenda primarily focuses on the determinants of innovative activities, management innovation, and the functioning of markets related to technology. With a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, he also holds a Master's degree in Economics from Université Catholique de Louvain and a Bachelor's degree in Economics Management from Università degli Studi di Udine. Beyond academia, he is involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on strategic management and technology, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in business practices.
