Biography

Alberto Lopez-Manriquez is an Associate Professor of Practice at the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering, University of Texas at Austin. He holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, obtained in 2003, as well as an MSc and BS in Petroleum Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, completed in 1995 and 1988, respectively. He has published extensively in reputable journals and has presented his work at several conferences, demonstrating his expertise in hydrocarbon recovery technologies and the pressure behavior of geological formations. Additionally, he is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and remains active in alumni activities of his alma mater.
