Alberto Rosello-Diez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiology, Development Neuroscience and the Department of Genetics at the University of Cambridge. He received his BSc and MSc degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and completed his PhD in 2011 at the Autonomous University of Madrid and the Spanish National Centre for Cardiovascular Research, focusing on limb patterning controls. During his postdoctoral work at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, he developed mouse genetic models to study limb growth and repair. In June 2018, he joined the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute as a Group Leader, where he studied organ-repair responses to developmental perturbations. His research interests include the regulation of organ size, limb bone development, and the mechanisms behind catch-up growth using inter-species chimeras to explore how embryonic environments affect patterning and growth. His work aims to uncover the cellular and molecular pathways that regulate skeletal development and to understand the roles of stem cells in bone regeneration.
