Biography

Alcy R. Torres, MD, FAAP, is a Clinical Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics, specializing in Child Neurology. He earned his MD from Universidad Central del Ecuador in 1990 and subsequently completed his pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children's Hospital and a neurology residency at Harvard Medical School. His dedication to education and diversity in medicine is reflected in his role as Assistant Dean for Diversity & Inclusion and involvement with various national organizations. His work encompasses addressing healthcare disparities and improving access to care in underserved communities. He has received numerous awards, including the Joseph Martin Dean's Award from Harvard Medical School, and has been recognized multiple times as a Top Child Neurologist by Boston Magazine.
