Biography

Dr. Aldo Morales is a faculty member at Penn State Harrisburg, serving as a Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology programs since August 2001. Prior to joining Penn State Harrisburg, he taught at Penn State DuBois and was a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Morales co-founded the Center for Signal Integrity at Penn State Harrisburg, which collaborates with member companies such as FCI, Samtec, and Agilent Technologies. His leadership has secured significant funding, including an $800K grant from Ben Franklin Technology Partners and a $448K Major Research Instrumentation grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Dr. Morales has received numerous awards for his technical achievements, including recognition at international conferences and honors from the Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council. He is actively involved in supporting educational initiatives for women and minority students in STEM, having co-led a $1.5 million NSF grant aimed at increasing enrollment in science and engineering fields. Furthermore, he has organized various international conferences and has been honored twice by Penn State for his teaching excellence.
