Biography

Aleeza Gerstein is an Assistant Professor in Microbiology at the University of Manitoba. Her research applies evolutionary principles and statistical methods to understand the evolution of human fungal pathogens. She is particularly interested in determining the factors that constrain and promote genotypic and phenotypic diversity in the context of drug resistance and chronic infection.
