Dr. Alejandra Dubois

Biography

Dr. Alejandra Dubois is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Ottawa in the Faculty of Medicine. She serves as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Public Health Agency of Canada and is the Executive Editor of the Canada Communicable Disease Report (CCDR), also under the Public Health Agency of Canada. Her academic focus and professional work are centered around critical issues in public health, including Global Health, Indigenous Health, and Health Promotion. Dr. Dubois is committed to intersectoral action and reducing health inequities, aiding in the design and implementation of policies that enhance community health outcomes. Through her research and public health initiatives, she strives to innovate and foster equitable health systems that respond effectively to the diverse needs of populations. Her extensive experience includes leading projects that support the health of Indigenous communities and advocating for policies that promote health equity across different sectors. Dr. Dubois is passionate about empowering individuals and communities through informed health practices and access to health resources.
