Biography

Alejandro Saporiti is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Manchester. He joined the department in 2006 after completing his Ph.D. in Economics at Queen Mary, University of London. His research focuses on microeconomic theory, game theory, and political economy, with a particular emphasis on formal experimental models of electoral competition and voting mechanisms. Saporiti has published his work in prestigious international journals, including Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, and Theoretical Economics. He has also served as a Research Fellow at the Wallis Institute of Political Economy at the University of Rochester. His expertise aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in economic theory, social choice, and political economics. Saporiti actively collaborates with other researchers and remains engaged in advancing the study of economic interactions and decision-making processes.
