Dr. Aleksandar Ignjatovic

Biography

Aleksandar Ignjatovic is an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales. He holds a PhD in Logic Methodology Science from the University of California at Berkeley, as well as both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. His primary research interests encompass Signal Representation Processing, Approximation Theory, and Algorithms, including Embedded Systems. He is particularly focused on information aggregation applications within Mathematical Logic and Computational Complexity fields. Ignjatovic is actively engaged in research supervision and has led various funded research projects, such as the ARC Discovery projects on block-cipher circuit attacks and urban flood modeling. His research has made considerable contributions to signal processing applications, exploring Fourier transforms, orthogonal polynomials, and the intricacies of local signal approximations.
