Professor Dr. Aleksandra Stankovic

Biography

Aleksandra Stankovic is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Executive Director of the Center for Space Medicine Research at Massachusetts General Hospital. She also serves as the Director of the Human Performance Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. Stankovic holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, obtained in 2013, and an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2015. Her research interests focus on Long-Duration Space Exploration and Spaceflight Biomedical Engineering, encompassing aspects such as Behavioral Health Performance, Teamwork, Human Factors, Human-Automation Collaboration, Human-Systems Integration, Human-Centered Design, and the development and application of sensors and wearables in space environments.
