Biography

Alessia Isopi received her undergraduate degree in Economics from LUISS 'Guido Carli' University in Rome, Italy, and her Ph.D. from Università di Roma 'Tor Vergata'. After completing her Ph.D., she joined the University of Nottingham in 2008 as a Marie Curie Intra European Post Doc Research Fellow. In 2011, she became a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Manchester. Her research interests include Development Economics, Asymmetries of Information, and Experimental Economics. Alessia is currently teaching Development Economics at the undergraduate level and Development Microeconomics at the postgraduate level. She has expertise related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on the global agenda to end poverty and ensure prosperity for all. This work reflects her commitment to impactful research that contributes to meaningful economic development initiatives.
