Biography

Alessio Pacces is a Professor of Law and Finance at the University of Amsterdam's Amsterdam Law School and Amsterdam Business School. He is a Director of the Amsterdam Center for Law and Economics and has served as an International Visiting Fellow at Stanford Law School. He graduated from LUISS University in Rome with a degree in Economics, cum laude, in 1994, and holds an LL.M. in European Master in Law and Economics, also cum laude, from 1995. He completed his PhD in Law and Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, cum laude, in 2008. A prominent scholar in the field of Law and Finance, he has contributed significantly to the literatures on corporate control and financial stability, with current research interests focusing on sustainable corporate governance and mandatory climate disclosure. Before entering academia, he was a researcher at Bank of Italy and Consob. Over his career, he has published more than 50 works, including books and articles in notable journals. He is an invited speaker at various universities and international organizations, where he discusses corporate governance and regulatory issues.
