Biography

Alex Botsford is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie University. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland and went on to achieve his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie University in 2020. Dr. Botsford furthered his education with a fellowship in Vascular/Interventional Radiology at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal. His clinical practice encompasses a broad scope of interventional radiology, with a special interest in peripheral vascular disease and hepatobiliary interventions. Dr. Botsford is involved in a large ongoing research project focused on the embolization of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations, contributing valuable insights to the field of interventional radiology. Originally from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, his academic and clinical endeavors are aimed at advancing the treatment and understanding of vascular anomalies through imaging and interventional strategies.
