Alex focuses on the intersection of media and artificial intelligence, working on the Marketing team at the Saïd Business School. He teaches courses in AI, Media, and Marketing at the BA, MBA, and Executive MBA postgraduate levels. Alex is a frequent industry speaker on topics related to Artificial Intelligence and the media business, and he is the author of several books, including ‘Media Management and Artificial Intelligence’ (2022), and ‘Media Management: Live Experience’ (2024). He is currently working on an edition of a book on Media & AI, and a new book on media and quantum computing. Prior to returning to academia in 2017, Alex created and grew production companies and was shortlisted for six Entrepreneur of the Year awards. He is a voting member of BAFTA and Vice Chair of UNICEF UK until early 2025. Alex holds degrees from Oxford, Columbia, and INSEAD, and completed his PhD in video optimization for e-commerce. His textbook, ‘Media Management and Artificial Intelligence: Understanding Media Business Models in the Digital Age,’ was published by Routledge in November 2022, with Turkish and Korean versions released in 2025. At Saïd Business School, he runs core courses in Marketing at various levels and also teaches General Management at St Hugh’s College, Oxford.
