Biography

Alex Maurice Dussaq is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University. He holds a B.S. degree in Mathematics and Biochemistry from the University of Nevada, Reno, and both an M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. His Ph.D. work focused on novel platforms for informatics and statistical analysis. Dussaq completed his residency in Pathology at Stanford and has fellowships in both Breast Pathology and Clinical Informatics. His research interests lie primarily in the implementation and creation of workflow tools for surgical pathology labs, with a particular focus on whole slide image management systems and the future applications of artificial intelligence and large language models in pathology and medicine. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Dussaq’s clinical focus is primarily in Clinical Informatics and Breast Pathology.
