Alex Fornito completed Clinical Masters in Neuropsychology and obtained a PhD in 2007 from the University of Melbourne, before undertaking post-doctoral training in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge, UK, under the auspices of the NHMRC Training Fellowship. He collaborates extensively on projects related to neuroimaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and connectome analyses, with research contributions aimed at addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Over the last five years, he has been involved in numerous projects that explore causal brain network modeling and the development of functional MRI equivalent biomarkers.
