Biography

Alex Hsu is an Associate Professor at the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech, where he teaches finance theory to PhD students as well as undergraduate and master's students. He holds undergraduate and master's degrees from Brown University and a doctorate in finance from the University of Michigan. Hsu's research interests focus on bond yields, equity returns, and macroeconomics. He builds theoretical models to investigate the impact of monetary and fiscal policy on interest rates and the term structure of these rates. Additionally, he studies the empirical effects of government policies and legislation on firm outcomes and investment returns. His work has been presented at annual meetings held by the American Finance Association, the Western Finance Association, and other notable conferences. Hsu has also been invited to give talks at the Federal Reserve Board and various regional Reserve Banks.
