Dr. Alex Koral

Biography

Alex Koral, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics specializing in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Yale School of Medicine. He is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology and has extensive training in this field. He completed his MD at Case Western Reserve University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Koral's clinical interests focus on eosinophilic esophagitis, endoscopic procedures, and therapeutic endoscopy. He has developed a multispecialty Eosinophilic Esophagitis program at Yale and is known for his innovative approach to Transnasal Endoscopy, minimizing the need for sedation in pediatric patients. Dr. Koral is committed to advancing treatments for gastrointestinal diseases and improving patient care. He actively participates in professional organizations, including the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
