Dr. Alexa Siddon

Biography

Alexa Siddon, MD, is a pathologist specializing in diagnosing diseases of the blood, leukemia disorders, and bone marrow failure. Her interest in medicine began at a young age, accompanied by her mother to a clinical laboratory. After completing emergency medical technician (EMT) training in college, she decided to attend medical school. Dr. Siddon enjoys the challenge of putting together the entire story of a patient to make a diagnosis. She directs the hemopathology lab at the Veteran Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System, where she examines patient samples and utilizes sophisticated tools to make accurate diagnoses. Her main focus is patient care, providing crucial information to her colleagues, hematology oncologists, to enhance patient treatment options.
