Biography

Alexa Stuifbergen is a nationally recognized expert in health promotion and self-management for individuals with chronic disabling conditions. She received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and has served at UT Austin since 1989 in various leadership roles, including Associate Dean for Research and Dean of the School of Nursing.
