Dr. Alexander Bertoloni Meli

Biography

Alexander Bertoloni Meli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Boston University. His research focuses on Number Theory and Representation Theory, with particular emphasis on connections to the Langlands Program. He has a deep-seated interest in the geometry of representation theory and reductive groups. Prior to his current position, he completed postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Bonn under the guidance of Jessica Fintzen and at the University of Michigan with Tasho Kaletha. He received his PhD in 2020 from the University of California, Berkeley, where he advised Sug Woo Shin. His work contributes significantly to the understanding of various complex mathematical structures and their applications.
