Dr. Alexander Chin

Biography

Alexander Chin is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford Medicine, where he integrates clinical practice with market development initiatives in cancer services. His extensive expertise includes diagnosing and treating a full range of cancers, particularly lung and breast cancers, and he represents Stanford in national leadership teams focusing on enhancing cancer care practices. Dr. Chin’s research contributions cover innovative oncology payment models and new imaging parameters in lung cancer, with findings published in multiple esteemed journals including Cancer, JCO Oncology Practice, and Clinical Lung Cancer. He has been recognized with numerous awards from the Radiological Society of North America for his research excellence. Dr. Chin earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, followed by an MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at Stanford Health Care and has held several leadership roles in health policy committees within prominent oncology societies.
