Dr. Alexander Chung

Biography

Alexander Chung is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at Université Laval. His research interests include management information systems, health information systems particularly involving surveillance, and the development methodologies of information systems. He emphasizes sustainability management in his work. Chung teaches various subjects related to Information Systems Technologies, Business Analytics, and Information Systems Design. His current research activities reflect on Indigenous knowledges, the integration of technology in supporting land-based relationships for Indigenous peoples, and the use of artificial intelligence in reconnecting Huron-Wendat myths to storied places. Throughout his academic career, he has contributed significantly to academic symposiums and conferences across North America. Chung has also been involved as a reviewer for various international conferences focused on information systems and has held editorial responsibilities. He is a member of professional organizations including the Association for Information Systems and serves on faculty committees related to awarding scholarships.
