Biography

Alex Ganose is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London. His research group focuses on computational materials chemistry, utilizing machine learning and data science to design new materials addressing pressing technological challenges in renewable energy generation, specifically photovoltaics and thermoelectrics, as well as energy storage. Alex obtained his EngD in chemistry from University College London in 2018 before undertaking a postdoctoral position at Berkeley Lab in California. In 2021, he joined Imperial College London as an EPSRC Fellow and was appointed Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry in 2022. He is also a co-investigator in the Materials Project and serves as the Data Strategy co-lead for DigiFAB, both initiatives focused on advancing materials science and technology.
