Biography

Alexander Hock is a research collaborator at the University of Geneva, focusing on mathematical physics. His research interests include algebraic geometry, noncommutative geometry, topology, combinatorics, probability theory, string theory, and quantum field theory, as well as gravity physics. He received his PhD in 2020 from the University of Münster and completed a postdoctoral year. Between 2021 and 2024, he was based at the University of Oxford as a Walter Benjamin research fellow funded by the DFG. In 2024, he is set to move to the University of Heidelberg. In 2025, he will begin a new position at the University of Geneva, supported by an Ambizione grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation.
