Dr. Alexander Ioannidis

Biography

Dr. Ioannidis earned his Ph.D. from Stanford University in Computational Mathematical Engineering, and his M.S. in Management Science Engineering with a focus on Optimization. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Chemistry and Physics, and earned an M.Phil. from the University of Cambridge in Computational Biology. His research focuses on designing algorithms and applying computational methods to precision health challenges, particularly in genomics and clinical data science, along with AI applications in healthcare. He holds positions as an Assistant Professor of Research in both the Genetics and Biomedical Data Science departments at Stanford University, where he also contributes to various advisory committees and editorial boards, including the Journal of Human Genomics.
