Biography

Alexander joined the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow in September 2005. He previously held a position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1998 to 2005, during which time he also acted as a visiting scholar at California Institute of Technology, New York University, and served as a Warwick Research Fellow at Washington University. He holds degrees from St. Petersburg State University in Russia and Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain. His research interests include areas of Microeconomics, Asset Pricing, Game Theory, Mechanism Design, and General Equilibrium. Alexander is a member of the Microeconomics research cluster and has a strong focus on supervising research in Game Theory, Economies of Clubs, Theory of Incentives, Social Choice, Information Economics, and General Equilibrium.
