Biography

Alexander Vezeridis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine, specializing in Interventional Radiology. His clinical expertise encompasses interventional oncology, biliary disease endoscopy, venous disease, portal hypertension, urologic interventions, and general vascular/interventional radiology. Dr. Vezeridis is also an active researcher with a focus on translational techniques that improve the safety and effectiveness of image-guided interventions for patients. He earned his undergraduate, MD, and PhD degrees from Boston University and completed a year of post-doctoral training at UC San Diego in ultrasound molecular imaging under the auspices of Cancer Researchers in Nanotechnology. Following this, he completed his residency and fellowship at UC San Diego in the field of Vascular Interventional Radiology. Dr. Vezeridis is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of medical professionals, including students, residents, and fellows, and co-directs the Bio301B course. Furthermore, he has strong interests in medical device development and commercialization, having completed the Stanford Biodesign Faculty Fellowship.
