Biography

Alexandra Bensamoun is a Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the University of Paris-Saclay, where she has been instrumental in directing the Master 2/LLM program focused on Fundamental Intellectual Property and Digital Technologies, in conjunction with Laval University (Quebec) and the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). She has been appointed as a qualified personality by the Conseil Supérieur de la Propriété Litéraire et Artistique (CSPLA), a body under the French Ministry of Culture. In her role, she has led initiatives related to technical intermediaries, public communication rights, artificial intelligence, and text data mining. Additionally, she serves as an expert for the UNESCO 2005 Convention on the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. A prolific author of both individual and collective research projects, she has penned treatises on law and artificial intelligence. Dr. Bensamoun is a vice-president of the French branch of the International Association for the Advancement of Intellectual Property (ALAI) and is an associate researcher at the OBVIA research network, as well as a member of the executive committee of the DATAIA Institute at Paris-Saclay University.
