Alexandra Coso Strong works and teaches at the intersection of engineering education, faculty development, and complex systems design. Joined Cornell University in 2024, co-founding the School of Universal Computing and Construction Engineering Education at Florida International University (FIU). Prior to her doctoral studies, she received a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT in 2007 and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2010. Her research focuses on creating inclusive educational systems and preparing future engineers as change agents. She earned the NSF CAREER Award in 2023 for her work on transformational curricular designs. Strong has also served in leadership roles within the American Society for Engineering Education and as an Associate Editor for Studies in Engineering Education.
